My husband had a similar situation. His Mom and Dad were divorced when he was 7 and his Dad lived out of state they talked but were never close. He was always closer to the Step Dad and still is but his Mom and he are now also divorced. So on our programs after we listed the Bridal party we listed as follows.
Mr and Mrs John Adams.......Brides Parents
Mrs Jane Jones......................Mother Of Groom
Mr John Doe.............................Father of Groom
Mr RIchard Jones....................Step Father of the Groom
And to top it off she had her present man friend sit in the first pew with her....go figure! And though as uncomfortable as the situation may have seemed it actually went well. Everyone behaved....both the Dads took family pictures (though separately) and no family pics with the new guy. So I`m thinking you could just say...
Mr and Mrs John Doe.........Parents of Bride
Mr James Brown................Father of the Bride.
Everyone will get the idea! Good Luck. And some advice don`t sweat the small stuff....I worried for weeks about this and it turned out just fine!
