Help I Dunno What To Do With This Guy!!

Theres this guy who likes to joke around
And he told me he wants to be with me.
But i dunno if his really serious.
If he is, i dunno what to say cuz i only see him as a friend but if he isn`t i don`t want to look (sound) like a fool. Or make him think i do but just playing hard 2 get!!help!! cuz if i tell him that way he`ll probably think i like him but i don`t want to make it obiouse!! help pleaz what should i do
