Poem/Reading Needed At Wedding For Deceased F
My father has passed away and my sister is getting marreid and we really would like for someone to please share any readings or poems that they might have read, for a similar situation for us to get ideas of how to honor our dad. Thank you for sharing such a personal gift.

I am using my bouquet to pay tribute to my Daddy. He passed away 5 years ago, when I was 20. So, the focal point of my bouquet will have his picture, therefore symbolizing him walking me down the aisle:) I chose not to have any readings or poems for the simple fact of it being hard on me. My wedding is supposed to be a happy day, and I will be upset enough without having him there with me. Keep it simple when honoring him. Its hard enough getting married without him.....I hope this helps:)

Memorial Wedding Poem
Today one by one we light a candle for our family
For those who stand with us in flesh and those in spirit
Two candle will burn brighter than other candles lit.
Not for the two people being joined as one
But those who in spirit that are by their side.
Love is not from the heart but truly
From the depths of our souls it lives on when we do not
Love is happiness, even after the storm of grief
Our Light in the darkness to guide us
Loved ones are here through spirit of their love.
That light of the candle that shines bright
It is their love as they bless this union
The Light of love will burn forever
As long as they remain alive in your heart.

My father passed away 13 years ago, it does not get any easier. In place of the father daughter dance I had a photo montage with pictures of my father and I set to the song "to dance wth my father again" by tamayra grey. I will give a short speech anouncing what the guest will be seeing and everyone will get to see great photos of my dad along wtih listening to a song I have come to cherish

U could try "dance with my father" by luther vandross. I dont know if u`ll like it or find it appropriate, but it reminicies (sp?) about the wonderful times he had with his father.
Am sorry for your loss, I believe he is with you in spirit, though not in physical form. I hope I was able to help.
