I think I would consider doing an old fashioned western style party with great barbeque, square dancing, horseback riding, something on the order of Gillys, etc.

How about a female wrestling event oil, spagehttii, jello, etc. IT is fun, and gets the crowd excited.

The company I work for once threw a corporate party and hired a few celebrity look alikes to work the room. Employees had a great time getting their pictures taken with the look alikes! It was really fun and The Joan River's look alike was a terrific MC!

Hello! A western theme does sound really good. It might be neat too to have *celebs* that are from Texas help with the party. I am a Texas(Ft.Worth) girl living in Arkansas who looks just like the lead singer(Natalie Maines) of the Dixie Chicks...and I know when I worked their concerts in Dallas and Ft.Worth, Texas was happy to have them back! Good luck with your party. :) Dana

This is for anyone who is looking for an idea for a corporate party. I have been to a corporate Christmas party that was THE BEST CORPORATE PARTY EVER and we all still talk about it! (It was even videotaped!)

Two outgoing employees were chosen to be the Hosts for an award ceremony. This wasn`t just ANY awards ceremony. It was geared towards our business. We were in the food industry, so we called our awards given "The Doughy" (as in dough for bread). We actually handed them a small bagel on a yarn big enough to fit around their neck. A small group of people were on a committee to come up with awards to give to certain employees and these employees did not know who was going to be called up.

For example, one person was given the award "Dances with Donuts" as a spoof on Dances with Wolves. Something was said about the person and his work like: This person runs from donut to donut checking out the quality of his deliveries. He would often trip over a donut, and he even dreamed about dancing with donuts.

Each award recipient got a "doughy" and a certificate stating their award. We even had a slide projector showing a slide of them at work while they were talked about.

This took a lot of planning, but we never had so much fun, and like I said, it was the talk of the workplace for a long time!

As another idea to replace the "doughy", you could use personalized candy bar wrappers as the award with the name of the award on it and the company`s information. If you would like to know where you could get these, just email me at ddnj@juno.com for detailed information.

Good luck!
