OnLine Wedding Stores To AVOID!

If you are looking for an on-line webstore...STAY AWAY from FOREVERWED.COM!!! They have horrible customer service and they have the worst computer system ever! The owner is absolutely rude and will not work with you in their return policy! They will charge your account before even shipping your order and the order when sent is not complete and you are stuck with the bill! I HATED Working with them! They do not care about you, they only care about themselves and will tell you that they have a wonderful policy but they will turn you away even if your order gets to you after your wedding date! Very unreasonable! To this date I have a credit card charge for things that I was unable to use since they came after my wedding! I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM IF I WAS YOU!

I agree with this. They have my payment and shipped an incomplete order! I have called everyday this past week and was basically ignored and promised a return call. They are rude and very dishonest.

When you purchase anything online, you are taking a risk of receiving something cheap. You must do the research behind the stores. Find out how long they have been in business. Ask for references. Call the FBI and the BBB to see if there has been any reports against the owner, or even the store for customer service. Ask to be sent a sample. Not just once, pay for a sample at least 4 times. If you like them, buy the amount that you need and minus the 4 that you already purchased. I purchased my daughter`s favors online and was very happy. I did the work, I even talked to the owner. There is nothing wrong with buying online, I have been doing it for the past 5 years and because I know what to look for and how to do the shopping, I have not had a devastating experience. I have had 1 or 2 bad experience but not on a large order. Get to know the people, contact them a few times a week, ask them questions and see how patient they are with your questions. You are the reason they make money so you should demand the respect and courtesy that you deserve as a paying customer. Also, if you have had a bad experience with a store, report them so that others know right away. Send a copy of the letter to the owner and back it up with a police report. If necessary, take them to small claims court. Put the money in the court forms for your time, frustrations and for having to do this. Make them pay. I remember a co-worker`s friend paid for a bill board and berated a store. They put the bill board on a busy expressway. Can you imagine morning and evening rush hour traffic and hundreds of people seeing that sign? You couldn`t miss it. Right near the Philadelphia Eagles stadium and it was huge. The store gave the money back just so they could take that sign down. They had proof, it was completely legal and I sure remember that store so I know that others will as well. Go to your local news and have them do an undercover report. Catch them with their pants down. They may give you back that money just to keep you quiet.

I doubt any sane person reading Mika`s post thought that she was telling you to go to the FBI for a veil. She was saying to go to them for things that cost you a lot of money like it did for this Bride who was taken by Forever Wed. Mika is 100% correct, you can shop on the internet if you do the research. I bought many many things for my wedding on the internet and had no problems. Some people have no common sense so they take things to the exteme and can`t seem to understand a simple post for telling the young lady what she asked about. Report them to the FBI`s Internet Fraud, the BBB and even take them to court. That is 100% right!

Maggie, you are a very negative person. The advice that was given to her was correct. I shopped on the internet for many of my items as they were cheaper on the internet and I never had any problems. For those of you who have had problems, take the steps that Mika gave, she is telling you the truth. I have been an officer for 5 years and many people do not report the business and that leads to others falling prey to these cons. Report them as Mika stated and go after them for your money.

I had a bad experience with an order that I placed on the internet but I would not allow that to discourage me from shopping on the internet. I reported the company, I contacted the authorities and I took them to court. I won my case and got my money. My sister who did not shop on the internet was cheated by the Photographer who came highly recommended, had a local baker cheat her on the cake and a local supermarket where she bought her flowers at a really nice price, gave her some that were almost close to dead so no matter how you shop on the internet or locally, you can still be cheated. She also reported them and received her money back. No matter what, you still have to report these people!!! Listen to the great advice that Mika gave as it is the truth. I did it and many others have as well.

Maggie is as stupid as her last post shows the proof. No where did anyone say to report a veil with loose threads. That is really immature and petty to try to turn good advice into something small minded. Well, I guess when you are small minded that is what you do.

Jade, report them as Mika has stated. Also have your credit card company go after them as well. They insure purchases like that. Also report them to the FBI, BBB and anyone else you can. Also folk out there, if you ignore Maggie, she will just go away, if you feed a stray, it hangs around.

The pot calling the kettle black. Maggie has a post on here stating that she got her cheap colored stone engagement ring on the internet yet and the appraisal was great and now she is saying not to shop on the internet.

WOW! I thought that was kind of strange. She does have a post on here stating that she got her ring on shopping tv`s website and now is saying to avoid it like the plague. Boy is that one for the records! :-) LOL! LOL! LOL!

I have read the posts on here and I agree with many of you. I also read the other post dealing with Maggie and I must say that it is surprising. However, I do agree that you do have to report businesses no matter what. The FBI has a website within them for internet fraud even if it is something that you purchased for $10. You must report this. There has been some very good advice on this board and I am glad that many people with common sense can understand and comprehend the advice. Point stated, no matter what, when you are shopping you deserve to be treated as a valued customer. You deserve to have quality items and if it isn`t you deserve the truth before you buy. If you have not received any of this, then you have a right to report them. It is not just happening with internet purchases, it happens with many department stores in your neighborhood malls as well. Do as the postings state and report them.

You can report a local company and still not get your money. Youc an purchase from a local company and still get cheated. No matter where you shop, be careful because there are people out there who cheat and don`t care that they are doing it.

Jade, just report the people as it was stated. A bride can buy wherever she pleases to buy from even if the store is on the internet. You see something that you like and you buy it. You can purchase and you can get your money back. It takes time just as it would with a local store. So again, Maggie`s information is incorrect. And how about the many people who have been taken by bridal shops going bankrupt and photographers not giving them the pictures? It is the same and even from them, you can get your money back. It takes time. Maggie stuck her foot in her mouth and now is trying to save face!

Maggie, it is almost impossible to get a refund when you have been defrauded by any company even one in your own neighborhood. That would be why they call it fraud. No matter where you buy from, you have to be careful. You can stand, sit or roll over by your words, it doesn`t matter to anyone but you. Your opinion is like a trash truck, it stinks! To sit here and tell this bride who was cheated anything other than what she asked for is sad. I have no idea why you would want to become a consultant. You have no class at all.

I bought something frm HSN and it was junk. I even got something from Seen on TV and it was junk. I didn`t get my money back. They are National Companies and I did not get my money back. I did report them. There is a class action suit against the makes of the item. You can do that. Just as a few have said, you can be cheated by anyone no matter what.

I guess we were lucky. We ordered our invitations, got our ringbearer pillow, flowergirl basket, guest book, pen and stand, our toasting flutes, unity candle and tapers, our wedding favors, MOH ordered favors for shower, FOB ordered a sixpence for my shoe....all from various companies online. We were very happy with everything. We did this because we were planning from out of state and this way my Mom and I could e-mail each other different items to look at and compare.

Here`s the deal, there`s nothing wrong with buying online if you do it smartly. 1.) Always do your homework before making major purchases online (i.e. Check with the better business bureau to see if it`s legit). 2.) Pay with a credit card, most major credit cards have buyer protection for online purchases, this means if you order it and you do not get what you paid for you won`t have to pay for it 3.) as others stated, report online fraud, you can contact the FBI and BBB or local law inforcement.

Follow those rules and you should be fine.
