Addressing Wedding Announcements
I've been looking all over the internet for information, but it seems no one sends out paper wedding announcements anymore. My question is where would you put the address of the Bride and Groom (in case the recipiants of the announcement wish to send a card or gift) if the wedding announcements are being sent out by the mother of the bride ?
Thanks

You can place that info on the left corner of announcement (similar to rsvp)

Technically announcements are sent to announce the marriage, but most of the time (I checked in my Emily post ettiquette book circa 1946) the gifts are sent to the brides parents house and at the wedding reception they are displayed, still wrapped. Then afterwards you open them, or at the reception you can open them. Recently an aquaintence got married and she put on the announcement & invitation not to come to the wedding unless a "gift or cash" was going to be given. EEK, talk about tacky.
If you are interested in a bridal workbook, call 1-888- sfevent. State Farm gives away bridal handbook/workbook. It retails for $30.00 and its free even if you are not a State Farm Customer.

Unbelievable! That's more than tacky; tacky is something like visible bra straps on the bride. That is just plain rude! Did anyone actually go to that reception?
