Ways To Win A Centerpiece

I am wondering if anyone has a unique idea for giving away the centerpieces. I have heard of closest b-day, anniv, etc, but wanted some other ideas. Please let me know what you`ve seen.

I went to a wedding where the Bride & Groom had gorgeous centerpieces on the table that everyone talked about taking but she stated after dinner right before dessert, the person who had a letter taped to the bottom of their chair, was the one who got the centerpiece. It was really funny because she noted to people, "if you are not in your correct seat, then you risk the chance of losing." So many people were not in their right seat so a few did lose out. My husband won a centerpiece so I did receive one. She had the decorator tape the note to the bottom of the chair so they wouldn`t think that it was special persons who got them. It was really nice and unique. I am going to use that idea for my daughter`s Sweet 16 ball. Another wedding of a friends` that I went to recently, she gave them to the parents, grandparents, sisters and Aunts. I thought that was special. The Grooms` family members got one and her family members got one. It was really nice and beautiful and they all got a chance to take one home with them.
