Unscrupulous Vendors
Fairytale Weddings & MORE. Please be weary of this company. This is the same person previously known as Melody Reed/Row with Everlasting Designs/Heavenly Accents. Do NOT give this woman business!!

I have visited this site for over a year and have seen these "scam" businesses come and go with crying brides left in their wake. I do own a full service bridal salon and have helped some of "Melody`s" customers out of very precarious situations. She in fact even tried to scam me as I was assisting a bride get the dress she paid Melody for, but of course never got. No I am not a registered vedor with Party pop nor would I waste my money becoming one. Melody and all the DBS dealers doing business on here representing themselves as `full service salons" when in fact they work out of the basement of their homes, prove that being a "registered" party pop vendor means you know how to fill out a registration form and have enough credit on your visa card to pay their fee. There is nothing done to invistagate registered vendors credentials or even prove they exist. This place has become a haven for un-ethical, talented con artists to prey on women (and men) who actually believe you can get something for nothing. Before everyone jumps in to bash me, just let me say that there are indeed legitimate, honest, caring businesses on this site trying to sell their products. The problem is you can`t find them in this murky, dark hole because even the illegitimate ones look real. And since the people who officiate the board do NOTHING to weed them out, customers are left with a crap shoot with their hard earned monies. Look at some of the posts on here.....I can sell that dress for $900, no I can sell it for $879, no I`ll sell it at $600 with no shipping, free bag, and I`ll come dress you on your wedding day!??!?Add to that the people like this Melody who changes her business name every 2 weeks, stalks what look like new posters, and adds a whole new set of victims to her already lengthy list. If the posters to the message board have to police the site, something is seriously wrong. It`s no wonder people are getting scammed.
For those of you looking for a "deal", good luck. Proceed with very great caution!

Jill,
She is going by Lynn now at Fairytale Weddings & MORE. I dealt with her when she was using the name Melody with Heavenly Accents. I ordered my gown but she never got me my gown but always was ready with an excuse. Luckily I was eventually able to get my money back. I`m not going to bash ALL vendors on this site but I will bash Fairytale Weddings & MORE because I`ve dealt with her. I will also be fair in saying that when I was dealing with her there were two other brides besides myself that were waiting for gown and we all began corresponding. One was lucky enough to get her gown but the other ended up with a refund like myself. Dealing with this company will be a crap shoot that I DO NOT recommend!!

Patty and all other legtimate businesses, read my post again. I am not bashing any business, even the DBS dealers. What I am "very concerned" about is the fact that the people who run this board have given the illusion to the people who post and come here for help that if you`re a registered Partypop vendor, you have some kind of seal of approval as a legitimate, honest, and trustworthy business. That is what I am concerned about. I don`t care if you have a brick and mortor store or if you work out of your basement, there should be some way of policing vendors to insure that someone like this "Melody" cannot screw over so many people, change her name on a weekly basis and still be a "registered vendor". The situation right now is that you don`t know who is for real and who is all smoke and mirrors. I did not intend for this to appear of a bash against anyone other than the Party pop "authorities".

Unfortunately i agree with "very concerned"
When I registered party pop only asked me my credit card #, never a tax id or sales resale # or anything of that sort. Till this day that bothers me.
I am just like patty, I started out small and am gradually growing my business both online and off. I went into this business b/c when I was a bride I really enjoyed planning my wedding and finding a bargain and when I finally entered the business market I realized it was not for me and that a shop of my own is really what I`d love to have and do as my F/T job.
Also, I hate the fact that anyone can post as anyone here. There is no registration for a user ID & password as many other sites have.
I also helped many brides who were scamed by melody, which makes me sad that a person would intentionally ruin a brides to be special day.
I wrote to party pop a few times asking to please investigate this new vendor Lynne who everyone seems to think is melody, and the response I got was "we`ll look into it" that`s it!
Which I think is horrible, and when it comes time to renew my membership here at partypop I will take some time to decide if I would wish to stay on this board, for the customer service of this site is poor and instead of investigating the problem like they said they would, they build her a webpage like all vendors have.
But any person can see that Lynne is melody, if you go to her site you can see that she still uses the same AOL email for her paypal.
I mean come on....
