Horse-Drawn Carriage

In my December wedding, we want to leave the church in my grandfather`s carriage, pulled by 2 white horses and driven by him. In a car, it will take 5 minutes to get to the reception. It might take us 20 minutes to get there in the carriage. Plus, we will be going through the main part of our small town to get there. Other than it being cold, is this a bad or tacky thing to do?
