Mother Of The Groom

My son is getting married SOON...!!! there is so much conflicting advice on what the GROOMS mother should wear.. The main color of the wedding is deep red, am I suppose to wear a dress in the same color??? deep red??? Ive been told that it is a major breach of etiquette if I dont, If not red, could you suggest a color to not clash and that is proper? thanks.......

I think you should go with a color similar to that of the wedding. Or, a color that may be included with the theme for the flowers.

From what I have always heard, the mother of the bride is to choose her outfit first, then the mother of the groom gets something that goes with what she is wearing.
