What Makes A Dress Important

What makes a prom dress special/ important to you? What does your dream dress look like? I am in college at Auburn (War Eagle!) and have to write a paper on prom dresses (i chose it, god knows why?!) and I have total writers block right now and thought others` opinions might add to my thoughts.
