My first daughter`s bat mitzvah was a candy theme. Every table had a regular centerpiece with mini candy bars hanging in various places. Also, everyone got a candy bar with my daughter`s name on the wrapper, and all of her statistics (what she likes to do, favorite subject, birthdate, etc.,

You can make fake candy using imagination & balloons.
Make lolipops by wrapping small water balloons in cellophane. Use small primary colored round mylar balloons & writing a " M " on it. Can make wrapped candy the same way as lollipops only you tie cellophane on each end L - R. Twizzlers using clown twist balloons. Gum balls. Each table can be a different candy & have a bowl of that candy on each table.

Each table can be a different type of candy... One table is m&m`s, one is sweettarts, one is twizzlers, etc. Make sure the adult tables are candies with more adult tastes like peppermint patties... Each centerpiece is comprised of these candies mounted to a centerpiece raised stand with more candies spread around the table for noshing.... At each of the kids places, a plastic gumball machine filled with all kinds of candy.... Signin board large board with a "candy message" covered in plastic with a large border left plain for the kids to write on a candy message is where you write whatever you want omitting key words which are replaced with a type of candy.... For example: "We all agree - Rachel is such a (sweettart)! Noone could (snickers) after the great job she did today. She looks like ($100,000 Bar). Let`s all give her a big (kiss) `cause she`s such a (smarties)... " Anyway that`s the basic idea.

My bat mitzvah was years ago but I had a candy theme. We bought those BIG Colorful swirl lollipops (purchased from a candy wholesaler) and attached the placecards to them. They looked beautiful on the table next to the sign-in board and were much more fun than the tradritional little piece of paper with names and table numbers.

What i thought would be cute if you could go to your local craft store like "Micheals", and buy some plastic vases, and have fake flowers streaming ouit of each one, with lifesavers at the bottom of each vase. And you could also make mini gift bags for all the kids who come to your daughters bat mitzva. Hope you like my idea, bailey.
