Restoring Old Veil Costs?

My mom gave me her headpiece & veil from 50 yrs. Ago! It needs restoring (needs new stiffer backing to the pearl/crystal tiara--it`s not metal like today`s... Almost like an applique, but with pearls, etc... The pearls are all there!.) and it`s sewn onto a satin headband, the veil is sewn onto the headband too. Any ideas on what it would cost to have this fixed up. Or do i dare try it myself? thanks.
