Pre-Wedding Parties

If you`re in the bridal party and the bride opts to have a bridal shower and a bachelorette party, is it expected that you give a gift at both parties AND at the wedding... Just seems like an awful lot of money!

If you`re invited to more than one shower, you can attend them all but only need to bring a gift to one of them. The wedding gift is in addition to a shower gift though.
