Suggestions Please--Winter Wonderland Theme

My wedding is in December, so I have decided to use a winter/Christmas theme. My dress is white, with beaded detail that will sparkle and shine--perfect for the whole "icy" look. The bridemaid dresses are a cranberry color, and they`re just basic a-line strapless dresses with a small flap across the straight neckline and a matching stole.
I am unsure of the type of flowers to use, but I am leaning toward open roses. I know I will be incorporating frosted pinecones in them for sure. Our wedding is in a medium size church (300 capacity), and our reception is in the fellowship hall on the other side of the parking lot. The tables are the long rectangular type, and we have already found white floor-length linens that another bride had custom made for her reception. We are thinking of leaving in my Pappaw`s horse-drawn buggy (2 white horses & black buggy).
There is blue trim in the church half way up the walls, and "The Lord`s Supper" border around the top of all 4 walls in the fellowship hall--to stick to my theme, these are things I would like to somehow conceal. Any suggestions are welcome, whether it be for indoor and oudoor ideas, flowers, food, or anything else!

For my sister`s wedding in Feb of 2002
My mom used the silver hanging ( sorta like garland ) icicles to take away the flowering bordering of our fellowship hall walls with snow flakes that was pre-cut, they would stick (purchased at Wal-Mart) to the paint without pulling it off.
Also our dad put "Charlie Brown" trees in pots, sprayed them with "canned" snow and then we wrappped them in silver foil and tied with the Christmas Red Ribbon. Placed them around the fellowship hall, put tiny clear string lights in each one. We placed some of the snowflakes on each limb of the tree. They were a huge hit. We also hung clear lights all along the walls and around the winter wreaths we had made. The wreaths consisted of cranberries, "snow" "snow covered pine cones. Snowpeople..etc..." We had on the tables ( serving tables ) clear snow men and women, ice rocks, and crystal white candles.
On the Grooms table, there was a different set of snow family with ( a snowman for each family member of the groom,) names on them, grooms` set out seprate with "brides` slightly away from rest of family.
It was a really big wedding and I can`t remember everything
But my sister was blown away when it all came together. Then right before the service started...it began to snow for real! Here in Alabama, Central Alabama at that! Of course it didn`t "stick" around but it really set the day....
