HELP! Need Ideas For A Personal Shower!

My sister is expecting her second child in June. I would like to throw some type of personal shower just for her. She pretty much has everything she needs for her baby and if she doesn't money isn't a problem for them. I can't believe this isn't a pretty common thing! Some suggestions please?!

Hi this is Carla and I am a dealer for personalized candy bars. We have wonderful baby themed wrappers if you are interested in having these as favors or handouts. Your sister might even be interested in using them as handouts at the hospital or a christening. You can email me at doyourselfafavor@hotmail.com and i would gladly send you out a free color catalog. Let me know. Thanks carla

I think the idea of a shower focused on stuff for the mom is a great one. What would a mom want most? Time. I don't have any ideas for the party, but how about getting mom Doula service? What is a Doula?
Just read this:
"Doula" refers to a supportive companion (other than a friend or loved one) who is professionally trained to provide labor support. She performs no clinical tasks. "Doula" also refers to lay women who are trained or experienced in providing postpartum care - mother and newborn care, breastfeeding support and advice, cooking, child care, errands, and light cleaning - for the family. To distinguish between the two types of doulas, one may refer to "birth doulas" and " postpartum doulas."

Sounds perfect, huh? If you are interested check out the Doula organization's website (www.dona) for more info and to find a Doula in your area.

Hope this helps
Kathy

I don't have any party ideas, except taking the mom-to- be to a salon or spa for the day. I have some gift ideas. How about a gift certificate for a massage or manicure? Or dine-In Gift certificates and video rental coupons.

Good luck

Use mild soap and Herbal Essences shampoo. And don't forget to wash behind the ears...
