Ballet Slipper - Have You Worn Them
I am getting married in May. I`ve never been one to wear heals and I want to be comfortable. So I was thinking of wearing the wedding ballet slippers for the ceramony as well as reception. I was just wondering if anyone else has worn the slippers all day. I am curious as to their comfort as well as how they held up outdoors and such. The ones I`ve seen at the bridal shops have a suede bottem. Any input is appreciated.

Hey Im with ya. Im getting married next September. Instead of spending tons of money on shoes that noone will see anyways and being horribly uncomfortable all day, I found some terry cloth flip flops at Jcpennys for 10 bucks. I will wear them for the ceremony and most likely for the dance, but if they don`t work out for the dance, I got a extra pair of slippers like the ones you are questioning.

My daughter just got married in August and I talked her into wearing the ballet slippers and by the end of the evening she was soooooo thankful. You can`t really even see them and the day doesn`t need to be ruined by a blister that hurts so much you can`t dance. Good Luck

I am so greatful someone else asked the question. I am getting married in November and everyone has been telling that I better wear heels I am a heavy girl so I don`t wear heels that often. At first I was going to buy a pair of the really dressy gym shoe`s like in father of the bride. But I thought if I wore the ballet slippers that it would add some class to my dress instead of gym shoes. So if I could wear hem all day I could dance and have fun the way I want to. That get my vote. Thanks for asking the question that I have been pondering over for the last couple of weeks.

Well I know I want to wear the slippers for sure because I`m NOT wearing heels. Plus most brides end up taking their shoes off at the reception anyway and then their dress drags. I just hope they are comfortable. I like the ones in the bride shops to because I still want them to look nice when my toes peek through so I don`t want just regular slippers. If you go this route let me know how they worked out for you please.

I am looking into the slipper idea also, but many I am seeing have the sharp ankles. Does anyone know where to go to get a nice slipper, that also has the soft back as well as the soft toe?

We wore ballet slippers to my sisters wedding recepition. They were very comfortable. We found some that had a rubber bottome so they held up a little bit better than the suede. But they looked cute with the bridesmaid dresses and I plan on wearing them to my wedding in June. Good luck all.
