Strapless Gown - January Wedding?
I`m thinking about a Strapless Gown. I have a Jan. Wedding in NJ! IT`s COLD! Am I crazy? The bridal shops tell me everyone it wearing them. The sleeved gowns don`t look as nice. Surprisingly the strapless is more slimming! But I`m concerned my arms will look bad in photos.. Can anyone help me with this decision? Should I keep looking? It has a shawl & I can get a bolero jacket. I`m a size 16.

No, I wouldn`t keep looking if I wanted strapless. I`ve been to a January wedding and the bride wore David`s #9004, her dream gown, with long gloves and no shawl. She was only outside to get in and out of the car, the reception was inside. You have two options: 1) if you haven`t paid for a reception hall, simply move the date to a warmer time such as April. 2) If you`ve booked the date already, just wear your strapless gown and wear either opera length long gloves (above elbow type) with a shawl or a bolero jacket. You could try a trial run and get someone to take pictures of you with long gloves to see how your arms will look in pictures, too. Also maybe a seamstress can make a lace overlay coat jacket to match. Wear your dream gown and get married in January! It`s your day!
