Davids Bridal Is Junk

Anyone who gets your dress from a Davids Bridal is the same as saying you got your dress at K-mart or Walmart.
Get smart and buy real gowns from real stores with real service.
Davids quality is terrible. Gowns for the masses and the real is joke is you pay just just as much or more than you would for real designer gowns.
Don`t let the Oleg name fool you. He doesn`t design a thing. He is like 100 years old.
Wake up girls...bridal is special...don`t be mistreated at a Davids where they laugh at you and treat you like cattle. They laugh all the way to the bank.
By the way, Davids is a major investor in they use all your personal information to their benefit.

We went to the David`s Bridal in Northridge, CA and had a wonderful experience. There were three bridesmaids dresses involved, very reasonably priced at $150. The service was fantastic. No complaints and I would most certainly recommend this store to anyone looking for a dress.

I feel a little different than you about the dresses. Both my daughters had good luck with that. But the ALTERATION aspects sucks! No customer service...prices outrageous...no guidance...no information. Went to their web site to write to them...no "contact us" was available. I`m certainly glad I only have two daughters!
Additionally, this somewhat same thing happened at two different David`s...Florida and New Jersey.

I agree - most seamstresses in the Chicagoland area refuse to take alterations from David`s Bridal. David`s is the Salvation Army of Bridal aroound here. You pay more for the alterations than for the dress because it`s made crappy to begin with!!

Well, I`m getting married in a little under a month, and have had nothing but a TERRIFIC experience with David`s Bridal. Great service, nice people, perfect alterations... And who REALLY cares if it`s a major designer or not? It`s supposed to be about the marriage--the union--not about the tag in your dress. Sure, it is a big part to have a beautiful dress, but don`t waste your energy on David`s Bridal--- you have bigger things to consider!

I agree that David`s IS nothing but JUNK!!!!!!!!!!
Horrible service, horrible quality! And the dress prices are the same if not more as name brand designers. I bought a beautiful Mori Lee dress for less than a David`s dress, and it had more to it than the david`s one did! I didn`t need any alterations, the dress fit me perfect, and the train was detachable. I got my dresses at the same place as my gown and everything worked out wonderful!! And don`t get me started on their "sales"! They sell off their really nasty, dirty junk to put new junk in! DON"T SHOP AT DAVID`S UNLESS YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT, AND HONESTLY WE ALL KNOW THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!

I just got married last month. I received wonderful customer service with David’s bridal. I did start off going to the really high-end stores. When I walked in wearing comfy clean sweats and a t-shirt they treated me like I was 2nd class. Not realizing that I was the girl who special ordered a Vera Wang. I simply walked out and left them with a 4000-dollar dress to attempt to sell.
David’s bridal treated me as well as my 10 brides maids wonderful, and as stated before, it is all about the marriage and not the dress.

I agree I have never been treated more rudely than at David`s Bridal. The employees including the manager openly started talking about me and what I was wearing when I went in for a fitting. They never knew were my paperwork was the bridesmaids dress I ordered wasn`t in on time which was very stressful on both myself and the bride. Do not EVER buy anything from them!

I agree. I went in there. Picked out the perfect dress. Made even more perfect when the sales clerk told me it was 50% off and the alterations were free. Needless to say when I got to the register I was told that the dress was 15% off and that was showing on the price tag. Then when I got home I looked at the receipt and on the bottom it says "alterations are available upon request at an extra fee" I called the manager about this and asked for some kind of price reduction and was told she would talk to the corporate manager. It has been two days and I have heard nothing yet.

My daughter and I shopped for her wedding dress and had a great experience at Davids. All of the employees were more than helpful and the girl that helped her try gowns on was extremely patient. She took her time and didn`t make you feel like she was doing you a favor. Other shops had a snooty attitude if you weren`t dressed like you were going to a banquet and half of them didn`t even know their own stock. I knew more from surfing the net. I do think you can save if you take your alterations to a local seamstress, but this is true with all shops.

I AGREE!!!! I went to David`s in Phoenix and they tried to pressure me to buy a dress right there on the spot. I wasn`t 100% sold on the dress and the manager of the store made me feel like dirt and low class because I could not justify the price of the dress when I wasn`t sure it was the one. She actually suggested that I go to Dillard`s and look at the prom dresses as they may have one in a price I would be more comfortable with!!!! I figure that my wedding is about the love between my man and I not how much I spent on my dress. I went to a wonderful store in Phoenix called AZTECA and was treated like a princess. I bought a beautiful brand new Alfred Angelo off the sale rack in perfect condition for $99.00. Couldn`t beat the price nor would I trade how nice everyone was there. David`s was rude and would not let me look at the racks with out my "bridal consultant" up my rear!! Not to mention I had to call a week in advance to get an appointment to walk thru the door! AZTECA welcomed me without an appoinment and let me wander the store freely to choose what I wanted to try. They have everything! From high end dresses to the sale racks. My personal assistant saw me try on an $800.00 dress and found on almost identical on sale for $150.00. They are not about the money, they want you to be happy. I recommend that if you live in the Phoenix area that you head straight to AZTECA.

The first time I went to David`s I was a little "put-off" since I didn`t get assistance while browsing around. I didn`t realize one needed an appointment until I visited again (on a busy day.) They got me right in even though I told them I was interested in seeing the $99 gowns. I thought this had to be a bait and switch. The most helpful saleslady assisted me that day. I was treated as no less although I was looking at the "bargain gowns." She even let me use her personal cell phone [the store lines were busy] so I could call my Mom out of the area code. I saw a dress on the rack, and knew it was "the one." She held my room until my Mom made it up there (1 hr. Trip.) I still can`t believe the beautiful dress I received for the price that I paid. It didn`t matter to me that it was a discontinued style. The customers were even commenting on how great it looked. I could not complain about the wonderful service or the beautiful, resonably priced dress (no alterations needed; which was even better!) People that are griping are most likely the ones that are all about planning the wedding, rather than the "marriage." Lighten up and read the posted signs and sales policies at the register BEFORE signing on the line (or before shopping, for that matter- that`s simple business sense!)
