Did you ever find one? I am looking for a second, could you tell me where you found yours. I have an Alfred Angelo 1161 but I am not looking to sell and it is in a size 12. I am looking to purchase a second dress to cannibalize for a veil. I have looked and looked for a veil to match the dress, but without luck. So, I thought I would just buy a second dress and use the organza overlay as a veil. If you have not found a dress, I purchased mine from bridewire on ebay and I also saw one for sale at yesteryear bridal, but they were both in much large sizes.

Hi,
I have purchased the Alfred Angelo 1161 in a size 8 reluctantly...but I love it!!
What color? My gown is ivory, but I know where there is one in white (size 8 or 10?)
When do you need the material to work into a veil? My dress is going down to a size 0, so I will have left over material. Also, I am thinking of removing the fancy skirt and train to replace with plain organza...sooooo, maybe we can negotiate something. Email me with your location. I`m in Massachusetts.

Hi, my dress is also ivory. My wedding is not until next June, so I am not in any sort of rush for the material. I would happily purchase from you the organza overlay if you decide to replace that material. Frankly, it would solve my problem and I would not feel so guilty about butchering a whole dress just for the organza overlay. I do want to have the whole overlay, though. I don`t believe I would want just the left-overs from the reduction, inevitably they would be too patchy. I will need to have a large single section for what I am planning on having for the veil. This will be a wonderful option, if we can work it out.

Also, I am in Illinois. If you decide to not use the overlay, then we can do something through the mail. Thanks, Carmen

Please be very careful about anyone on the Internet saying they will make a replica of this dress. I just had a horrible experience from someone saying just that. I did not receive the dress made from scratch as promised. They took a used dress which had holes in the breast area, patched it and put a silk chiffon overlay on the dress and mailed me that junk. I was so horrified and now I`m having problems getting my money back so please just buy your dream gown from a bridal shop

Leigh,
Hi, I was wondering if I should continue to search out a Alfred Angelo #1161? I don`t want you to think I am pushing you, but since I have not heard back, I was curious as to if you were still interested in gettin rid of the organza overlay. Thanks, Carmen

Carmen,
You should continue to look. I am not on the same time line as you it seems. I am still in the process of finding a seemstress to do the work. However, if you are unsuccessful, just check back with me.
