Autumn Wedding Ideas

I`m getting married on October 16, so I know how you gals feel about our limited selection of ideas for fall-themed weddings. However, if anyone needs an idea, our fall themed wedding is going to go something like this:
Floating candles in a low-lying round bowl, with a few brown pebbles in the bottom, and two, small, orange goldfish swimming beneath the candles. On each side of the centerpieces we decided to carve holes in small pumpkins and place votive candles inside. Walmart sells realistic silk, fall leaves in a pack of 80 for 0.99 cents. We are going to place a few leaves on each table.
If you have purchased or are thinking of purchasing Cranberry or Apple colored bridesmaid gowns, don`t fret about trying to find an exact match of ribbon, tulle, etc. Use another similar fall color. It will look just as classy. I would suggest burnt orange, mustard, burgundy, or a cherry red.
We made favors by purchasing cellophane bags from the net and placing fall colored hershey kisses inside. I then made favor tags on micosoft office with an acorn on them and with our name and date between the picture of the acorn. To close the favors we bought rafia ribbon tied it in a small bow.
For you brides that plan way ahead: In fall of 2003, I collected assorted colors of fall leaves and dipped each leaf in parafin wax. Just before the leaves dried, I lightly dusted them with clear sparkles, and the effect was beautiful, and quite natural. Almost one year later, I looked at the leaves in a box in my closet and they are still in beautifully tact. These leaves will probably be used to spread around the dance floor and on the buffet table.
Don`t be afraid to visit craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Michael`s for leaf garlands to wrap around poles or place around the trim of tables.
I chose an ivory gown to complement the season, so almost nothing was done in white, including the flowers. I chose gerbera daisies, mums, golden-rod for accent, berries, mums, and carnations for a filler. The colors are quite vibrant, and also tie-in with the fall theme.
For the groomsmen, my fiance chose pasley printed vests in apple. He will be wearing a champhage colored vest, and the fathers with wearing the same vests in black. From my own experience, the ivory undershirts just looked rather dirty. I went with a white undershirt.

Good Luck to you all.
And enjoy your day!
