Wedding Ediquette

The brides famly sits on the left side of the church as you are walking down the aisle. This is the same side that the Bride is on of her fathers side. I tell my brides "Remember father is always right" The order of sitting is the groom`s grandparents, bride`s grandparent`s, groom`s mother then Brides mother
I have never seen a female usher. I believe this would look funny that she is escorting a male down while the female is not escorted. If you need a spot for this female why not let her pass out programs or be at the guest book table. If you are short of males, double the use of your groomsmen and let them also be ushers.
