Groomsman In Shirt And Tie???

My Fiance is thinking of putting the groomsmen in black pants, shirt and ties (no tux, no jacket). Has anyone done this or have pictures??? Any suggestions?? Thanks. It`s a July wedding

I`ve seen this all the time on tv, but usually only in outdoor weddings that are nice but not super formal, it never once looked strange. Try checking out the show For Better or For Worse on TLC chances are you`ll see that come up and it will give you an idea of when it`s appropriate. Good luck!

I`ve been to a few wedding where that was done, they looked great except for one. It was a very formal wedding with all the bridesmaids in big dresses and all, so the guys looked underdressed. But as long as your keeping it on the simpler or not ultra formal side it looks awesome

I need help with something like this too. My FH and his best man will be in tuxes, with myself in a formal gown with my MOH in a semi formal dress. Will this look okay? Part of the reason we had the put the BM in a tux instead of a nice suit is because he doesn`t own one and getting him to make a purchase like that is darn impossible, but he will rent a tux (Go Figure, huh?) But my MOH is pregant with no way of knowing what size she will be and cannot afford a formal dress, and all of the slips, bras and crinolines that go with it, so we split the cost on something that will still flatter her if she`s big by then and will still like enough to wear again. We compromised on a 3 piece beautiful evening gown. Still look okay? And my brother will be walking me down the aisle in dress pants and a shirt and tie.
The wedding is fairly informal and outside with no band or DJ (noise ordinance) So I thought it would be okay.
