I would suggest that you stay in your dress. Dont forget that the photographer will still be taking pictures during the reception. Remember how much money you and your bridal party paid for your attire. It would be a waste of time and money to get other attire. This is also a one day affair, try to stay in your dress as long as possible, you will hopefully only wear the dress one time.

I agree with everyone so far. You spent a mint on the dress, slips, undergaments, shoes and accesories, why change into something else? Your reception photos will look like any other party. And what about the groom and his guys? Are they going to change as well? It wouldn`t look right if they were still formal and you and your attendants were not. WE all understand how uncomfortable it may be to keep the formal gown on, but it`s only one day of your life. You don`t want to change for comfort and look back at all of your photos later and regret it .
