Funny Question...

I know this may sound like a funny question, but, does anyone know the best way to get the cleanest shave under my arm pit for my wedding day. Some women do it so well and look so bare, but I always have the "shaved" look left. Any suggestions??

Use a diplitory cream like Nair, the day before and be sure to test a small area on your skin where it won`t be seen first to make sure you won`t have a reaction

This may sound strange, but the best results that I have had is to let the hair grow out for a few days (avoid those tank tops!) and then right before the event, take a hot bath or shower to let the steam loosen the hair folicles (like barbers do with men`s beards) and shave with hair conditioner and a men`s razor. That has provided the cleanest, smoothest shave for me, which in itself is a miracle because I have the most sensitive skin. I`ve used all kinds of shaving creams, goops, waxes, etc. You name it, I`ve tried it. This is the system that works best for me. Make sure you use a men`s razor, though. I don`t know why, but men`s razors seem to work better than any women`s razors. Anyway, hope this helps!

I`d recommend having it waxed a month or so before the wedding so see how your skin reacts. If it turns out well, have it done 4, or so, days before the wedding. Waxing removes the hair at the root and you won`t have any breakthrough hairs on your wedding day.

Best wishes!

Soaking in the tub softens the hair and gives you a closer and cleaner shave. Try soaking in a warm tub for at least fifteen minutes, then lather up. Shave in a downward motion, then up, then sideways.

And don`t put deodorant on right away after shaving. Pat dry with a towel and try to let the areas "breathe" for awhile first.

I suggest whatever you try, you try it long before the day before the wedding, to make sure you do not have any adverse reaction to it. I too think waxing is your best bet....but do it first to see how you react!

First, soak in the tub- that way it will soften the hair. The razor that works best for me is the Venus Divine. Either that or a guys razor. Be sure whichever you choose, that it has three blades for the closest shave. I`ve used the hair removal cremes and didn`t like them because they irritated my skin. If you choose to use the creme or to wax, try to do it like a month before your wedding to see how you react. And go with whichever you like most.
Good luck!

I just wanted to let you know, that it really wasn`t a dumb question at all. I have wondered that too... Afterall, don`t we all try to look our best on that day? I think I would die if I had harry pits and hugging everyone. :-) Anyway, it`s good you asked. Not many have the guts or just don`t think of it and now we know some pretty good ideas all because of you! Thanks!

I`ve always heard that if you exfoliate skin before shaving (legs and pits) that you`ll get a smoother shave. You might want to try it.
