What do you and your friends like? That can help you get going on a theme. Music? Movies? Super Heros costume party? (in honor of the new Spiderman movie) Do they all know each other pretty well?

Try to remember what was enjoyable last time too.

I don`t know what you have to work with (i.e. What your house is like, backyard, etc.) but if you do have the space and if your party will go into the night, you can take ordinary games like hide`n`go seek and turn them into fun by playing them at night. You could get flashlights and play flashlight tag. And you could give people glow sticks to wear in the dark. After all of the games you could wind down with a bonfire (if you have a safe place to have one, if not use a round, small barbecue or smokey joe and light a little fire in it) and roast marshmallows and make smores, roast hot dogs whatever you wish. You could start the "fire" earlier and do the hotdogs then play then go back to the fire and do the smores or whatnot. Also, you can bring out a cd player or whatnot and play some music. Before it gets dark you could have a variety of games and stuff set up so that people can choose what they want or just chill and hang out (such as volleyball, badmitten, if it`s warm out still a slip`n`slide would be an old favorite, also really great group games such as Cranium and Guesstures that you can get at the store would also be nice to have out, then when it starts to get dark you can move into the more organized games, that gives you a nice mix of both making your party relaxing and fun. Anyway, good luck and have fun, hope atleast one of these ideas helped you.
