18th Birthday Party

Hello,
I need help! My 18th Birthday is coming up in January and i have no real solid clue about what to do. I`m thinking about having a formal party where everyone gets dressed up, but i also would like to have a lot of things to do, instead of everyone sitting around in their formals doing nothing. Please, give me some idea as to what i should do.

Hey, my 18th birthday is this month as well and I`m having ALMOST the exact same dilema. Except...mine differs in the sense that the only thing I could think of is having a formal party, but I want to do something more adventurous and original than that, something that me and my friends won`t forget. PLEASE IF YOU HAVE IDEAS LET ME KNOW AS WELL!!!

May sound corny but I know that everyone loves Karoake and it is a great way to break the ice, laugh and just have a good time.
