Halloween Wedding
I am having a Halloween wedding this year and I am still having trouble on what kind of cake topper, glasses and serving set and what kind of cake to have. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Wow, I`ve never seen so many people wanting to get married on Halloween. It`s awesome!! I guess it`s just because people these days don`t really want to go w/ the "traditional" theme, they want to make it unique and to their taste.
Me and my fiance are getting married on halloween cuz that`s when we first got together. We`re not exactly doin it all to the nine. We`re not goin to have a ceremony we`re just goin to go to the justice of the peace and then we`re goin to have a reception. I think we`re goin to go w/ like either a mask ball/costume party type thing. Either that or Nightmare before christmas. We`re trying to find a cake topper of jack and sally but no luck yet. If anybody finds one @ a decent price please let me know. If not that one we`re goin to go w/ this one
It`s halloweenie and wedding-ish at the same time.
Good luck to everybody else w/ their wedding. I hope you guys have a good time!

Go to ebay for the Sally and Jack (Nightmare B4 Xmas) cake topper. We almost got one for our wedding, but decided against it since the wedding was in July and my MIL had already had a field day with my "unique" wedding plans.
Other ideas for a Halloween wedding would be trick or treat bags (paper or clear kind) filled w/ candy & goodies as favors. You could have a "treat table" instead of (or in addition to) a cake. It could be filled with caramel apples, halloween candy, pies, cupcakes made to look like black cats, etc.
You could do some sort of costume ball and ask everyone to dress up. If you`re worried about not looking elegant, you could be a fairy princess (you can get really cool wings, ears, etc off the internet) and your FH could be in rennaissance (sp?) garb. You could have special lighting, props, the whole nine yards. Also, for cake serving & toasting glassses, you could get something in pewter or clay for goblets and you could probably get some plain silver or pewter cake servers and decorate them yourself, but I would not be surprised if there were halloween inspired servers out there. If you do punch, it could be served out of a witches cauldron (if not for a wedding, it could be cute for a halloween shower).
Good luck!

Thanks for the msg Beth. I tried ebay but i couldn`t find anything. Of course I didn`t look that hard either. I did finally find some (2) but they`re like $100 and I don`t really want to spend that much on a cake topper. As for the treat bags I was already thinking bout that. The treat table sounded like a good idea too considering my fiance doesn`t like cake. Costumes - He wants to dress as Jack and I was just gonna do like the fairy thing kinda after the movie Ever After. Only my gown isn`t goin to be as fancy as hers. It`s just goin to be a simple lil prom dress. Thanx again for all the ideas

Go to: Dept56.com
They have a Halloween theme village now and I am sure you can use some of the accessory pieces for a great cake topper.

You should try Angelkind Creations. Charity can make a topper of you and your H2B as Frankenstein & Bride of Frankenstein. It is something to have and keep as a keepsake and people will talk about your cake for years to come. Also I saw a few ideas on the internet for cakes. One is call Weblock and Webbing cake. Look them up. One of those cakes with your Polymer cake topper, would be a centerpiece to remember forever at your wedding.

Me and my w2b are also having a halloween wedding with a masquerade theme. We were thinking masks as favors, but we need about 100 of them and they get kinda pricy. Any ideas?

I was thinking about doing the masks also but like you said they get pricey. I didn`t look too far into it but try ebay. If you find someone that has masks that you like email them and see if they will sell you 100 and give you a discounted rate for bulk. You can also try costume shops and see if they will get you a wholesale lot because it is the off season...they might be desperate to make a little extra. You could also encourage people to buy their own masks and do something else for favors if the prices are too high. If you are feeling extra crafty buy plain white masks and art supplies and make them yourself, it might be cheaper but more of a hassle in the long run. Good Luck!!
