Ok get your calculators out ladies (because my math is not up to par you`ll have to figure it out)
Use 10 oz cups it will make the drinks strech
1 Keg of beer is 30 gallons
1/2 keg of beer is 15 gallons
For a party that`s larger then 100 people use kegs it will be cheaper that cans or bottles
Mixed drinks
Each drink gets 2oz of the liquor in a 10oz cup
Limit shots only to the bridal dance it sucks down liquor fast if you don`t (but it`s your choice) think jello shots they will go futher then just regular shots. Plus less drunk people because you can regulate how much liquor goes in them.
MAKE SURE THAT KIDS ARE NOT GETTING AHOLD OF THEM LIMIT USE ONLY AT THE BAR!!!!!!!!
I just got this idea from a wedding the other day. Go to walmart and get drink containers for like family picnics I think there like 5 gallon containers and make the popular premixed drinks like fuzzy navels and strawberry daquori (sp?) and put them in the containers it will make it easier on your bartender. There again you control how much alcohol goes into the drinks. I hope this helps!

As far as figuring out the amounts and types
Of drinks to order, your caterer should be
Able to provide you with a suggested list
(just tell them that you want a quote to
See whether or not it`s worth for you to
Provide your own).
Then, just for comparison, you should also
Call your local liquor store or distributor
And ask them for a quote as well (let them
Know how many people you`re having and for
How long etc.) and they should also be able
To provide you with a suggested drink list too.
FYI: this is exactly what I did for my
Wedding! Then I compared the two quotes,
Decided what I needed, went down to Costco
And bought everything there for half the
Price my caterer quoted me...and then saved
Several hundred more dollars after the wedding
By returning all the un-opened bottles!
Hope that`s helpful!

Does the club not have a bar for guests to buy their own drinks?? If it`s a sit-down reception, a complimentary bottle of red and white wine should be available for each table. If it`s free-flow then some shops do sale or return - so you could order what you think is necessary and return any that werent used.

Ok weird law alert!!!!!
In Pennsylvania your not allowed to serve any alcohol durning the meal. NO wine nothing (not even on the tables)and the bar must shut down during dinner. Do they inforce it? YES ! Reception hall and hosts (bride and groom) were fined each $1000.00 each for being in violation of the state liquor law.
Ouch that just kicked me in the butt :)
Watch out for weird laws in your state!
