Registry Information

My husband and I got married in my home state and are now (at the request of friends and famiy) having a semi-formal celebration at a local country club for friends and family in his home town who could not make it to the wedding. Is it okay to include registry information in the invitations for the celebration? I know it is not proper to include in the wedding invitiations, which we didn`t, but may we in the celebration inviations?

Personally, I wouldn`t. But it`s up to you and your husband. It`s technically only appropriate to put registry info in shower invitations, since the purpose of the event is to shower the bride/couple with gifts. Since, this isn`t the sole purpose of the event, I wouldn`t think it would be appropriate.

It`s totally inappropriate. The sole purpose of the invitation is to invite people to share in your celebration. Period.
