Registering For Wedding Gifts
Hi everyone,
I have a questions about registering for gifts. I have my china pattern picked out and our crystal pattern. However, as much as my FH says that he thinks these are very pretty, I know that these gifts would be more for me. So, here is my question: Are you allowed to register for non-traditional gifts? I have heard about asking your guests for money to put towards a down payment for a house, but what about asking for money to put towards somethhing else. My FH is an awesome guitar player and I would love to get him a guitar but I would never be able to afford what he would want. So, how do we go about registering for a guitar? How do we ask guests to put the money they would have spent on a gift towards a music store? Should we speak to the music store and ask if they do this or should we just ask for money and any money we get put towards this? Any advice?
Thanks!!
Heidi

There are tons of places where you can register your honeymoon. Most of these places just cut you a check for all the money you`ve received about a week before your wedding. The money is supposed to go for the honeymoon but you can use it any way you want. We registered for ours at The Honeymoon. Just type it in a search engine and it should bring up the site or email me, grohrer5@earthlink.net, and I`ll give you the address.
Also, I would say at least half of your gifts will be monetary so you could use that money towards a guitar.
