Brianne - Maggie Dress
I bought the Brianne at Mariella`s Bridal Connecticut. The sample was a size 10 and the dress is cut rather small. I got into it but couldn`t move. My normal dress, pants size is a 6 petite or 8 petite, depending. They ordered a size 12 which I have not yet tried on, because it isn`t in yet. The dress was difficult to walk in, because there is an underpiece that is straight and fitted. I will be interested to see how they are going to get me to sit in it. The dress, however, is STUNNING on!
I thought the sizing might be of interest.

I bought the Brianne too!! It was the 2nd dress I tried on and fell in love with it!
I thought that it was running small as well.
Have you picked out your veil/jewelry/shoes yet?
I`d love to know what you`re wearing with your dress.
I haven`t purchased any of those things yet. I did however buy opera length matching gloves, to wear during the ceremony.
What month is your wedding?

Nice to talk to someone who bought the same dress! I went into New York to Stuart Weitzman to buy shoes. I saw a pair in a magazine, but when I got there, they had another design I liked better. The shoes are sandals with a rhinestone bow (not a bow, bow, more like if you took a ribbon and made a knot) and the entire heel is rhinestones. The shoe ties around the ankle with a ribbon, like the way the Brianne Dress laces and ties in the back. The wedding is in October and this dress worked for me because it is not my first wedding! Many of the other dresses were too much, this was more like and evening gown!
Have you been through fittings yet?

You`re shoes sound beautiful! I haven`t looked for mine yet. My wedding isn`t until next May. So I believe my first fitting will be around January. I need to have it shortened and the hips need to be taken in. Are you doing some sort of bustle on yours? I`d love to chat more about our dresses!!

I have just purchased the Brianne by Maggie Sottero and with my wedding being only 2 weeks away I had to take the shops dress which was a size 14 to which I am usually only a size 8-10 so was amazed when I found out it was a size 14 so think this dress comes up very small.

My dress search is over too, after trying the Brianne on yesterday! It truly is stunning; I was crying and didn`t want to take it off ;-)
Can I ask where are you buying from and how much? The price at that store was $849.

Cristal-I got my Brianne in Toms River, New Jersey. I think it was around the same price (maybe 50 bucks less.
Did you buy your veil yet? I haven`t bought my veil or shoes yet. But I did buy matching opera length gloves to go with it.
When is your wedding? I`m May 6th, 2005!

There used to be a picture on a site I believe was called Chicbridal.com. I just tried searching for it and now I can`t find it.
And I don`t have the dress with me-I left it at the bridal shop until I do alterations. If I had it I think I`d be trying it on everyday!
Did you find the dress was running small?
