Looking For REPLICA`s

I was wondering if anyone knew a good place for replica dresses... There are a few Maggie Sottero dresses that I really love... But they are just too expensive. If you have any information please help! Thanks!

How much are you looking to spend?

I would like to spend at the most $400... And I just figured with my budget and to be under that price a replica would be my best choice!

Hi Jamie, I have an original Maggie Sottero gown that I am selling for $300. It`s called Constantina, and it`s never been worn. It`s a size 10 strapless white 2-piece corset dress with beading on the top corset and pleats in the skirt. If you are interested or would like to see pictures you can email me at elizabethdu@comcast.net.

Check out www.houseofbrides.com They are a well established bridal salon located in Chicago. I ordered my Maggie Sottero dress from them and it only cost me $400 when it was listed as $900 at my local bridal salon. Very reliable!!

Actually I could vouch that House of Brides in Chicago is very UNRELIABLE!! Not only I am living proof of getting screwed by this company but I have met 8 other girls that were too. If I would have known to check with the BBB for more information regarding this company, I wouldn`t have been in this situation, as I would have seen pages and pages of bad remarks regarding this company. They`ve been on the news tons of times too, as they were reposted my many brides and they decided to do investigations. My situation, the company NEVER ordered my dress, kept my money and shut down their Norridge store - they refuse to give me a refund even though they screwed up - I never got my dress, and they claim that all sales are final. I know 2 other girls to whom that happened, one actually owns a store today - Other girls were given used dresses in place of new ones, others were sold fake designer dresses! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! This is a horrible business and no one should be put through this kind of trouble, as a bride especially!! Just so everyone knows, the person posting these remarks about House of Brides is an actual house of brides employee - I am a client, so I know first hand how their "system" works - I would say very UNreliable!!!! Also, girls, anyone that has received letters regarding other bridal company`s "bad reputation" from what I know from sources, it is House of Brides sending these letters out anonomously. How else would they receive all of the addresses to brides speciafically? Since my situation with House of Brides I have told every bride that is getting married, shop with the small shops and boutiques - Ma and Pa shops. They will give you the service they need as they would rather sell quality - they rely on your word of mouth business. My situation was fixed by a small shop, and they were wonderful. It`s not just David`s Bridal giving bad service, it`s House of Brides in Illinois. They have a few locations - so again, beware ladies!!!!!
Anyone else with bad experiences at this shop please post as well!! The word has to go out so that more brides don`t get hurt.

Good Luck Girls!!

Actually, I am not an employee of House of Brides. I am a Realtor in Chesapeake, VA.

Can you give me the website of the reviews of House Of Brides? I did some searching online before I ordered my dress from there (which should arrive mid-august) and I never found anything negative. We also ordered my bridesmaid dresses from there too. Can you e-mail me and tell me what happened exactly when you ordered your dress? They have e-mailed me with confirmations and updates and made me feel confident with my order. I`m a little nervous now. My wedding is in November. Thanks

I don`t have a website, as I didn`t look for one, but I can tell you that you can check the Better Business Bureau and you`ll see that they have pages and pages of complaints filed against them. I will look for that site today, if there is one... I didn`t mean to scare you, I just don`t want the same thing happening to other brides what happened to me. Again, good luck, as I know that now since you already placed the order you can`t back out of it, just keep on them and take notes on everything, including peoples names, dates and hour that you spoke to them.

Just do a search for the better business bureau on your computer and it should come up. I actually just searched it myself and there were 6 matches. Good luck with your dress.

I appreciate your help. I will contact the BBB today to see what I can find. I have been contacting them over e-mail through the whole process, so I have every e-mail from day one. They originally told me that my dress would be here at the end of July, last week when I e-mailed them, they said it would be mid-end August. I should have seen that as a red-flag. Thanks for the info. If something does go wrong, at least I`ll be prepared now.

Patty you should be using your vendor id number if you`re a registered account, stop posting if you`re not authorized, no one is interested in a freeloading business when others pay for their listings..............

Jeremy, Please do not call people freeloaders, I am a business woman just like everyone else. I simply am trying to respond to questions. I have registered with PartyPOP and am awaiting my vendor ID #. I do understand your aggravation, I would be too, but I assure you that I am not trying to freeload from anyone. I was not aware of the registration when I started posting and I do apologize for that but when I was notified by another person concerned as you I took care of it immediately. Now tend to your business and I will mine. Kindly, Patty

Patty, they should give you your vendor number right away even if you did not pay yet. As long as you give them your payment information, they will allow you to post and give you a vendor id #. You should check with your representative that took in your order. Just in case you did not know... But that is good that you registered, you can get a lot of contact on here :)

Thank You Kathleen, I did not know this, I registered online and received a screen saying I would be contacted within 3 days. I may have done something wrong. I have not intentions of trying to take business from the paying customers. I will check into it immediately. Thank you again and if you can help me on this it would be appreciated.
