Vineyard Reception Theme

Help! I am planning the wedding reception for a friend in an old high-ceilinged ballroom (I`m on a budget). Her theme is a "Vineyard". I need some suggestions on how to make the extremely high ceiling more intimate. The reception will be taking place around 1:30 in the afternoon.

I don`t know the web address, but if you do a search for Wine and Roses in Lodi, CA their site should be able to help you with a few ideas. Their whole theme is Italian Winery/Vineyard. It is a very nice and elegant place. Anything they have pictured could be done in a more affordable way. Good Luck

If you`re allowed to hang stuff from the celing, maybe you could hang silk vines with clusters of artifical grapes hanging from them to bring the celing down a few feet. Maybe make the vines slightly different lengths to make it look more natural.

That was my theme too!! We hung silk vines purchased on Ebay for a couple of dollars each and then searched out dollar stores for grape clusters and tied them to the vines. We also added tule in between each hanging vine and some wrapped around the vines. It looked wonderful and was very inexpensive! Hope this helps good luck!
