Out Of State

My husband and I live in Michigan. We are having our traditional wedding in Colorado June 25, 2005. How do we get our guests to purchase gift cards or a cash fund instead of gifts for the wedding and showers? Is there a way of requesting this without sounding greedy? Thank you Tricia

No, there is no way to tell guests what you want for a gift. You are adults and must accept whatever is offered to you.

Sorry, there`s no polite way of asking for money or gifts. However, you can spread the word through your immediate families and attendants that you would prefer cash or gift cards because you don`t want to have a lot of packages to bring or ship back to Michigan.
