Wedding Party Options
I'm going to marry with my fiance next Spring or Summer in Seattle, WA. I need some help to give me some options to choose on wedding party. I don't know what's more besides church wedding. Can you give me some idea?

Hiya Molly! I would love to help you out, but I don't think I understand exactly what it is you are looking for options on... Is it the reception location? Or are you looking for ideas on what you need to do for your reception? Let me know... Keri or I will come up with something good I'm sure ;-)

Thanks to all who answer my question. I'd like to clarify my question. For I don't prefer to have my wedding at church, and I don't want it to be just a dinner party, and I don't want to be both too modern and too out-of-date.
So I need some other options about where to have the wedding and what style or process will be fine.
And I wonder how can I contact those who said they'd like to help me.

Hi Molly! One of the first places I would look for ideas would be the vendors section of this site. If you go over to the left and click on "Vendors," then select "Locations for Parties" and "Washington: Seattle" from the drop down lists there are several vendors right there. Let me just tell you though, I think it would be absolutely fabulous to get married at the Paramount Theatre! I know their auditorium transforms into a ballroom and if you are having a large wedding, that would be astounding! Not to mention people would be talking about it for years! *haha*
Another option, being spring or summer, would be a park, garden or beach. You could set up a very simple yet elegant wedding ceremony in any of these locations. Perhaps there is a locale nearby that is special to you and your FH... That way you could make it more personal. For example, that spot by the Sound that he first told you he loved you??? Maybe the place he proposed. You can really get married anywhere you want, if you can get permission ;-) If you make it someplace that is meaningful to you and your FH, it will be more meaningful to your guests as well.
One more place that I think would be available to you would be on a boat or yacht... This would obviously be for smaller weddings, but I had a friend that did this and it was great fun for everyone! For larger parties, you may want to look into getting a cruise ship. I know my sister-in-law got married on one and the guests departed shortly before the ship started boarding other passengers... The bride and groom stayed aboard and headed off on thier honeymoon!
That's all I can think of for now... It's Keri's turn *haha* We both usually check in here pretty often, I'm on "vacation" now but that obviously isn't stopping me! If I come up with anything else I will be sure to let you know!!!
By the way... CONGRATULATIONS!

Yeah its my turn! Outta the way Leah!!...Your hoggin the Mic.......
(lol...just teasing of course)
I agree with Leah on all she said (and in fact was going to suggest many of the same things) . I think an outside wedding can be very cool and if you are married in the right location it can save on cost too! (especially if the flowers or trees ,etc are blooming you wont need as many flower arrangements either). Also you might want to consider checking into retreat and/or lodge type places
Oh! and the paramount theatre --- That just sounds like such a cool idea and I had no idea you could do that. Good one!
I personally think the best Idea is to think of something that is special to the both of you---If you are animal lovers then get married at the zoo after hours (you can do that at the Oregon state Zoo) --- if you love the ocean then stand on a cliff overlooking the ocean and say your vows--- The idea is to think about what makes you both happy and run with it. No idea is stupid as long as its what makes YOU happy. Don't worry about how its "supposed" to be. This is YOUR day...make it a reflection of you.
If I think of anything else I will let you know.....Good Luck!

Molly,
You could try a local dinner theater or art center. Usually those places have large areas where you could have the ceremony & reception.

I am getting married in Texas in about 6 weeks. I am having a 6:00pm wedding in a Gazebo and decorating it in white and purple christmas type lights. We are wearing western syle attire and my flowers are purples and whites. I too wanted something different and unique. The reception is going to be held at the local fire hall. We are doing BBQ for dinner and doing most of it ourselves. My parents are deceased so we cut corners anyway we could. I am even doing my own flowers.
