Contest Question

Hiya Keri! Sorry I haven't had a chance to reply to your last e-mail message... I have been swamped with work (I work for Scrooge!). Anyway, if I remember correctly, the voting will close on 02-Jan-01at midnight Pacific Time. PartyPOP will then make the final decision on who the winner is by 05-Jan-01 with the winner being notified by 06-Jan-01. I looked down at an old message and got this information directly from one of PartyPOP's previous posts.

Well... I had better get to some of these other posts before I have to get back to work! (Ten minutes ago *wink*)

I have a hard time believing that Keri is cheating. I know she has friends and family voting for her, and my friends and family are voting for her as well. If she were cheating PartyPOP would certainly disqualify her (as they did Beverly before).

What a great thing to wake up to on the Eve of Christmas...(ha!) ..but I am taking this comment with a grain of salt and refuse to get angry on my favorite holiday of the year. Anyway, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. I mean everyone whose score gets high enough gets called a cheater. I personally would not stoop that low.

Hi,good luck to all entrants. I am writing this message because I just want to set the record straight. I have known Keri H. For quite some time and if there is one thing that Keri is NOT, she is by all means, NOT a cheater. She infact is probably one of the most honest and sincere person, i have ever met. She has always been way more then fair, and has always had a heart as big as the sky. She would never take any thing,from any one that did not belong to her. Just because her score is one of the higher ones, some people, just assume she must be cheating. This is not Keri. Thank you for letting me, set the record straight. Sheryl D.

You asked why my family and friends are voting for you. Well, as I mentioned before, I don't think that there is a snowball's chance in Arizona that I'll be winning this thing, so I directed a few people to your story instead and told them what a fabulous person you are :-) and I asked them to vote for you, honestly, not a "1" just because you aren't me (which my little bro had {past tense} been doing to a few people). I, personally, think your story rocks :-)

By the way...I just read your story again and that is such a neat idea with the Mardi Gras theme. My fiance is from Mississippi originally and has family in New Orleans area who go to Mardi Gras almost every year. They love it! And its such an exciting feeling to it that I think your guests will have a really fun time.

Oh! and as for the chat...It wasn't *my* chat that Paul and I met in but one that my aunt (and his brother) directed each of us to. That chatroom no longer exists but the people who became friends there (for the most part) still stay in contact. At the moment, there really isn't an open chat room that I can direct you to (there is a place but its under construction right now). I will try to let you know when we have a place,though:)

Diane, we missed you! Anyway, I had my maid-of-honor over for Christmas dinner and putting that dress back on did get me back in the mood! We sat and put together little (home-made) potpourri sachets for a few hours (will be going in favor boxes) and then we assembeled some more of my invites. I really needed the time off!

My bridesmaids are all slacking on ordering their gowns... I don't think I've heard from one of them for about a month now (*grumble*). I've now gotten to the point that I'm not going to let them ruin this for me! I'm going to make this day perfect gosh darnit! *haha*

I'm so glad to hear you've got things rolling on your end! How fun! I definitely recommend keeping a journal! It's so fun to look back and get your initial reactions to things :-)

Hey Diane, if there's anything I can do to help you from here I'd love to! These are the latest "projects" I've been tackling... I ordered (for my thank you's) some note cards that we can stick photo's in for close friends and family as well as the wedding party... I got extras just in case (50 for $50). I'm thrilled with them! They're even personalized with our names! I'm also looking into having a classical guitar soloist play my ceremony instead of the hand bell choir. For just about an extra $100 I can also have another guitarist, a flutist or a violinist... But we haven't determined if that is in the budget yet :-) We're still waiting for a few other things to pan out.

Susan, I'm sorry if you think that just because we are looking forward to our upcoming weddings that we "need a life." I actually have a life and I'm very happy with it. I also enjoy talking to other brides rather than bore my friends and family with "wedding issues." You aren't being forced to read our comments, perhaps you are the one in NEED of a life.
