Ouch - Where Has Your Holiday Spirit Gone?
Ouch. I read many of the posts for the first time today. I was shocked and saddened by the tone of most of them. Kudos to Keri H. And the others who have remained consistently positive.
Sorry guys - I am not cheating. I am not that computer savvy and can't manipulate the system. I simply asked my friends, family and colleagues to vote for our story. We have been having a blast following the ups and downs of everything and reading the contributions. Let it go. Enjoy the contest for what it is - a contest! Best wishes to all.
Ps - as to the veracity of the story - if anyone is in DC in early October 2001 - you are welcome to run in the annual Red Dress Hash.

Karen...Thanks for the Kudos..*wink*
Your red dress run sounds like a riot...lol....reminds me of the time we dressed my brother up for halloween as a Cheerleader...NOT a pretty sight...ha!
By the way, I agree about the contest..... I have been way up AND way down in score so I think I can speak from both sides; ) If I win then of course I will simply ...well..Die!!..lol....but if I lose then I still think its been a blast anticipating the conclusion. (In fact I'm not sure what to do with myself when this thing is over....Might have to ask PartyPOP if I can be there official Mascot or something......LOL)
Anyway, I too have had alot of fun watching the scores and reading the stories and I have really enjoyed posting on the message board : ) Getting feedback from everyone has been great!.
Of course I want to win...(hehe)....but no matter what happens I still feel Lucky!: )
Nice to finally meet you here...*s*

Karen, you have to take a lot of these comments with a grain of salt! Many of them are made in anger/jealousy. I, for one, think that if anyone is cheating that Team PartyPOP would know and disqualify that contestant, as they have done previously. I can also attest to the validity of your Red Dress Hash, I've been in DC for two years now and we've had friends in the race each year.
Congratulations, Good Luck, and Happy Holidays!

Karen, keep your nose up. You can understand how people can be so rude over $50,000. They forget what it's all about and they certaintly do not feel any of that holiday spirit!
You seam like a strong and couragouse woman! Keep up the good work!
I have read your story and I think it is absolutely wonderful! I'm glad you could find a love like that in your lifetime, not many people can!
I personally have had people try to vote many times for me and found out that it is impossible because Partypop indentifies the IP address. (But I don't need the contest anymore because we broke the engagement off, I guess it wasn't faite after all ;>)
Good luck with everything and God bless you and your man in the New Year!
P.S. Forgive my spelling errors

I am sorry that your relationship didnt work out. At least you found out before the wedding, do give thanks to that. Hope that you find Mr Right one day though. Once you do nothing else previously in your life will really matter. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!!!!!!
