50th Wedding Anniversary

We are planning a 50th wedding anniversary celebration for the end of this month. We are confused about the etiquette of who to ask to serve the punch and the cake. My sister thinks my daughter should but my daughter did this at the last wedding and wants to be free to socialize with kin people that we rarely get to visit with. This is causing great confusion. Shouldn`t a cousin or someone who is a friend do this instead? I have looked online for two days and still have not found what is right. Help!!! Also, thank you and God bless.
