Garters...options... HELP!!!

I need help , please! Im getting married in a couple of months... Im from Argentina and my fiance is from US... In my country all the men at the reception help the groom grab single girls, while he slides the garter he previously took from teh brides leg... Ive never really liked this tradition... I want to do one with only one garter where he throws it to the single guys at the party.... But what happens after??? what if they all move around not trying to catch it? what if the guy who catches it has a girlfriend who will get too jealous to see himn dance with the girl who catches the bouquet??? any suggestions?? alternatives?
