RSVP And Addressing Invites
We maybe re-writing the book of etiquette for acceptable RSVP`s and addressing invitations. All of our invitations will be computer generated. We have decided that by todays technology standards and our busy lifestyles, along with the actual wedding planning, how an envelope is addressed is a very small issue. The computer printing will be legible and elegant. We are not sending an SASE to return RSVP`s. Our guests will being asked to reply to a #800 voicemail (the voicemail message will be from the bride and groom).

I don`t see anything wrong at all with what you are doing. We printed our invites too. We were supposed to get married in the spring but had to change the date the Sept. After we ordered the invites. So I threw away the invite inserts and the RSVP and printed them myself by scanning in the images on the originals. Thay came out gorgeous.
As for the toll free #. Isn`t it more expensive in the long run then it would have been for a few stamps? I`m not criticizing, just asking.
I wanted the mailed RSVP`s because I have a plan for them.
Instead of a boring old guest book. We are doing the wish card idea, where each couple/guest leaves a wish for the upcoming married life of the new couple. I have a friend taking digital shots of everyone as they arrive. And it will all be assembled, scrapbook style after the wedding. Each page wil have a photo. RSVP, and the wish card together on pretty paper with extras.
