My fiance and I are also on a super duper budget. We decided to do something very different for our centerpieces. We went to Bed Bath & Beyond and found these gorgeous mosaic hurricane lamp candle holders. We are going to place them on mirrored tiles that we will purchase in Home Depot and then surround them with freeze dried rose petals (can be bought online). Hope this gives you another idea.

You could put a tiny vase with two or three of your flowers in it and then put it on a glass mirror with rose petals thrown around it.

We are doing the hurrican lamp theme also....the oil is going to be the color of the bridesmaid dresses. We purchases the largest ones at Menards for $4.97 a piece and they are beautiful glass about a foot tall.
On tables opposite the hurrican lamps we are using large canning jars, lilacs and rafia for bows.

My FH and I are on a pretty tight budget. We were having hard time deciding if we wanted to spend more $$ on Food or have the perfect centerpiece. We went with the food.
Since our wedding and ceremony are in the same place we needed something that could be set up without a fuss. We went with tea pots. I have picked them up at thrift shops, yard sales and flea markets. Our flowers are coming from the local farmers market so we will be having alot of wild flowers. The tea pots are all different with different flower arrangements. It will give the guest something to talk about and they aren`t very high off the table so no ones view will be blocked. Also we are having a butterfly themed wedding and will be sprinking butterfly shaped silk petals mixed with real petals under the centerpieces. Also it won`t hurt a thing if someone wants the centerpiece to take with them, it was only $1.

I saw these great spring looking pots at the dollar general. They are ceramic pots/vases in a bright spring color, pink, blue, yellow, green, then they have a ribbon winding through the top. They have several different sizes. If you have a dollar general in your area you should definitly check it out. They are super cute. You could do an arrangement of the flower of your choice in the pot/vase. The best part is they`re only $1each.

Since we`re going to have a bunch of stuff on the tables (our favors are kind of big, plus each table will have its own bottles of wine, water and iced tea), we decided that instead of centerpieces, we would hang a paper lantern from the celing over each table. They`re pretty cheap online, like $8-$10 each, plus another $5 if you want the electrical cord.

Well heres a ideal for centerpieces i do lot of wedding you can get some fish bowls and color rocks the color of your wedding and garland the ones with alot of flowers and put the flowers around the top of the fish bowl, and put the color rocks in the fish bowl with ribbon tied under the flowers into a bow. Its inexpensive and you can go to a rag shop and find the garland and fish bowls. And the rocks are marbles. I am getting married in december i made all my centerpieces and my flowers for my wedding. For 300.00 dollars. Teresa west palm beach florida.
