Who Pays For Bachelor Party?

My brother and best man is arranging a bachelor party that involves dinner at a nice restaurant and a lot of guests. I have typically been asked to pay my way at bachelor parties. Is this not normal? Can`t he ask everyone to pay?

Yeah, most people pay for themselves and then will chip in to pay for the groom. The groom shouldn`t have to pay.

We are arranging for a bachelor party in another state that involves air fare. I am the father of the groom, but also the Best Man. Do I chip in for everyone`s airfare since it will be so much?

That is correct - he sure can ask everyone to pay for themselves. It is so much easier. You are not supposed to pay for yourself so they would pitch in a little more for your stuff but - thats very typical. You should have no stress and enjoy!
