Guest Book
Instead of having a guest book that I will never look at again, I am going to have a scrapbook filled with photos of me and my fiancee. I want the guests to sign the scrapbook with advice, comments, wishes, etc.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to word what I want the guests to do with the scrapbook?
Thank You and good luck to all of the other brides!

Hi Elizabeth,
Instead of a guest book (since we are only having 35 guests) I have made a Blessing Book out of a beautiful journal. I have put a page in that states:
Thank you for sharing this special day with us
Please take a moment to leave us a special message.
I hope it works.
Good Luck,
Sandie

Hi,
Something that we have considered doing is having a polaroid taken of each couple or each guest and pass the picture to them to write a little message on the bottom to us. The person taking the picture can explain what you want done. Like you, we will probably never look at the guestbook again but want a way to remember those who shared in our day.

For my wedding we are buying a nice cloth covered journal and placing it in front of a sign that asks guests to please feel free to include their current address and phone numbers. Many of our guests are from out of state and we had to get their addresses from other family members We are moving soon, so this is a great way to make sure we can keep in touch after the move.

As far as having your guests know what you want them to do...scrapbook, journal, guest book etc. Assign someone to stand at the table as guests are entering and have them ask everyone to sign it. We had my 12 year old cousin do it. She was happy because she felt part of our day and she got everyone to sign.

Elizabeth, we just got married a couple of weeks ago and I didn`t want the guest book either (I am also a scrapbooker). So what we did was buy acid free bookmarks (blank ones in a taupe colour) and placed them all on a table with a sign that said "Please write a special note to the bride and groom". I worked out great. People put fun sayings and wishes on them. I am now going to scrapbook them into my book beside their photo (of which we had taken as they came into the hall). Hope that helps.
