rules, scandels, and pissed off people....

This is the way I see this whole contest and the people involved. While I agree that some poeple have entered the contest and really don't need the financial help to do so, I also think that some of you are over-reacting and missing the real problem. The rules of the contest were to be "unique". As much as I think the Hummer wedding idea stinks, it is unique. Here's the problem with the whole thing. The problem is Partypop and they way they've mishandled this contest. First, they have allowed far too many "finalists". They have given people several chances to change their stories, even after the "deadline". Instead of taking responsibility and actually going through the stories, reading them, and determining 10 or 20 finalists, they are letting the public decide, but they reserve the option of over-ruling this decision. What kind of crap is that? Let people vote for 4 months, but then say that the story voted the winner by the people could end up not winning? That's chickensh!t. I think it's unfair that Partypop has changed when the contest ends because some people are now knocked out because their weddings are taking place before the new "deadline". It's not fair to disallow a contestant because they have money, or seem too anyway; however, someone who's arrogant enough to have money, request $50,000 to "help", and then downplay everyone else's ideas as being ordinary, overdone, and worthless shouldn't be allowed to win a contest to slop hogs. I think the way Parthpop has set up this contest and then let it spin out of control due to their lack of planning and involvement is a joke. I've voted for our story, as well as many others, and good luck to all of the contestants who truely deserve it. Partypop, I hope who don't get sued over false advertisement - I hope you choke on any revenue you receive as a result of this "promotion.

In light of finding out that certain cheaters have been kicked out of the contest I must apologize to Partypop for some of my comments. However, I still feel that more attention to detail by Partypop would have stopped the cheating from even happening. Now, I ask this: how are you going to remedy the false additions to everyone's scores since some people received a "1" and some a "-10". Is there anyway to isolate those false votes and delte tham from peoples' scores. If not, then I propose you completely scrap this contest for this year, award NO winner(s), post and send apologies to all contestants, sponsors, etc. for having to cancel the contest due to cheating and an inability to fairly correct the situation, and start over next year. Again, sorry for some of my comments, but this contest has turned into a circus, to say the least.
