Wedding Shoes
I am having a heck of a time finding stylish bridesmaid shoes that are reasonably priced. I am having my bridesmaids pay for their accessories so don`t want them to have them spend a lot but want them to be able to wear them again..Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks

I am going to have my bridesmaids pick their own shoes as long as they are the same color. I think that it is too much to ask for for everyone to where the same shoes. Peoples` feet are so different that someone would be uncomfortable all day. What is comfortable for one person is painful for another. It wouldn`t be fair for me to tell them to buy a pair of shoes that hurt.

Those dyeable, "peacock" brand shoes are WAY out of date.
Try Nine West stores - they carry bridal and bridesmaid types of shoes. Also try Dillards.

I agree to let them pick their own shoes. Most dresses are floor length and you don`t see them anyway. I was in a wedding and the bride insisted we all but the same expensive shoes. Keep in mind that I have NEVER worn heels and I asked her to not put me in them as I can`t walk in heels. She did not honor my request. We had to but these gold strapy heels. That had zero support and the heel was skinny. I walked like a man because I was that uncomfortable. I bought a different pair of shoes for the reception. Not to mention I am 5`7 and everyone else in the wedding was around 5` 5`1. I still think it would have looked better if we all could have picked our own shoes. Now it`s my turn and my girls will be picking their own. Footnote $50 shoes that I`ll NEVER wear again.

I agree with these ladies! Let them pick their own. Both of my sisters hate heels, and the rest of my birdesmaids love them! Also, my younger sister (23) wears a size two, and it is very hard to find shoes without bows on them for her!! :)
The only requirement I gave my BM`s was the shoes had to be closed toe. This way, there is uniformity in some way. Good Luck!

I`m having my bridesmaids pick their own shoes also. As long as they`re all the same color, I`ll be happy.

I agree with the others, but you might want to give each bridesmaid a patch of the dress` fabric so they can have them dyed the exact color.
I was planning on doing this but ended up finding shoes at Shoe Carnival for only $25 each. If you have a pretty universal color (black, red, ivory, white, gold, silver, etc....) you might want to check regular shoe stores.
Also check ebay.

I had big problems with my bridemaids with regards to their shoes. I have 10 bridemaids and some wanted high heels and others wanted low and some wanted sandals and others wanted closed toed shoes. I found a reasonably priced Bridal Shoe Store and picked out 4 styles that were all the same colour and fabric and all my bridesmaids went to this one store and bought the pair of shoes that fit them best. Also, since I guaranteed the store owner that 10 pairs of shoes would be purchased she gave everyone a discount. It worked well for me!
