Office Baby Shower

There is a woman in our department that I is due in mid-December. I was wondering if it is appropriate to throw her a baby shower. This is not her first child, but her youngest is 17 years old and she doesn't really have any "baby stuff" any more. So?

ABSOLUTELY! It doesn't have to be an elaborate shower, and she will truly appreciate the acknowledgement!
Are there some people at your office that are balking at getting her a gift? May I suggest something? I sell party
supplies and have found that a very thoughtful baby shower gift (especially from the office gang) is a nice selection of
themed paper goods. Wait, think about it for a minute. After you bring a new baby home, you are exhausted! Sure,
some of your friends or members of your church, etc. will bring you food, but what do you serve it on. Dishes...or
ugly paper plates! If everyone in your office chips in 5 bucks each, you could get a great selection of themed party plates
for every night of the week for the first couple of weeks that the baby is home! I would love to give you a few other
ideas about shower decorations or other gift suggestions. Please email me at lori@virtualpartyshop.com and I
send you some additional ideas! It's very thoughtful of you to think about your coworker at this exciting time in her
life. Happy Partying. Lori
