Last minute Election Day Party

Hello everyone, my boyfriend just called me and told me that he invited a "few friends" over to the house for an election day party. We are not prepared for this at all! I have no idea what to do! I'm at work all day and then we go to vote and we won't be home until around 6:00 and he's got people arriving as early as 6:30. I have a few things stashed away in the freezer that we can snack on, but what do I do?

Help please! Amelia

Amelia,

How about Keri's pizza idea or KFC? You will never have time enough to cook something!!!!!

Good Luck-

Hi Amelia! You've got all my sympathy! After sitting here mulling over the possibilities you have I've decided.... that I agree with Diane and Keri! I'm pretty imaginative in the kitchen, if you have any meatballs in the freezer that would be great. A quick dip can be made by throwing 8oz of Velveeta in a mini crockpot with some fried, ground sausage and a can of Rotel tomatoes (use with either tortilla chips or a good crusty bread). If you don't have time to fry the sausage then just leave it out and put the velveeta and tomatoes in a blender until it's all liquified, then throw it in the crock pot (if you blend it first it won't get that yucky film on the top). Another quickie is a veggie or lunchmeat tray. But to save yourself some grief I suggest go either the pizza, KFC or even call your grocery store and make a request for one of those huge sub sandwiches. If you can call now you can probably get one made in time to pick it up from your trip to vote. I hope this helped!
