Once and for all, there are NO POLITE WAYS to ask for money. There are no cute poems that will subtly hide the extended hand. Gifts are what they are....GIFTS. Treat them as such, whether they be the toaster you dread, or
Another blender. Money is always nice, but you cannot literally ask for it. You may spread the word through relatives that you have everything you need, but that is as far as it goes.
Secondly, to those of you who "need" your wedding sponsored-- this is not the place to find it. Most of us on this site are brides looking for tips on how to save, and bargain. Accordingly, we are sharing ideas from our own experiences. I am getting tired of reading posts that are begging for someone to just hand them a wedding, while the rest of us are here to help each other and give ideas on bargaining.
And, please, no one take offense to my previous statements. They aren`t meant to hurt or dictate. I am just offering what I believe to be a lot of our opinions on this board...summed up in one post.
Ladies, let us all have wonderful weddings and bright futures. I really do wish you all the best.

Why call us hateful wenches? People come on this board ASKING for opinions. When you post a question, you must be prepared for brutal honesty. I am a firm believer in positive criticisim, and have tried to keep my posts as such. There are many different opinions on this board, which is why people come here......I do agree that some people can get nasty, but that is to be expected when you are on a public website. People who get too nasty are those who WANT to get you angry. Don`t let them get to you. The others are just trying to offer their opinion as asked.....Best Wishes.

I`m old enough to see the words on a television screen, yet young enough to look great in my wedding dress.
There`s no age limit for viewing commercials, hence the reference to "Mean Girls"
