My fience and I are members of a national biker organization. We are planning a wedding for the summer,I am so excited!!! I have searched for weeks for a site with ideas for a biker wedding. I now am positive that my ideas were the right ones. So here goes for those needing ideas.
Bride: I am wearing a white original antique style boustier with a removable long traditional skirt. It looks like all one piece. After the "I Do`s", the skirt rips off to reveal white leather shorts and lace up boots to my knees.
Bridesmaids: dressed exactly like me, but in red.
Men: all leather, pants, vests, no tie!! A best friend is gonna ride me up to front on his bike, then my husband ride me off. Make sure that all the bikes are already lined up for two rows down the middle. As you ride past coming up, the bikes turn off one by one. During the kiss, start up one by one, and rev your engines!!!!
Then it is time for the party!!!!! Remind your guests it is a biker wedding. The more scrungier the men, the better. (Of course the women have to look good)
If anyone has any other ideas let me know please???? I hope I have been some help.
Thank you,
Snow
Have a good time!!!

RIght now we are basically just talking about some things that we would like to have. We want the bikes lined up down the aisle, my dad is bringing me in on his Harley, and our colors are orange, black and chrome(silver) I also am looking for Harley emblem cookie cutters for the favors. I love all of the ideas I have read on this site. If anyone would be willing to send me pics of their Harley wedding, I would love to see them. You can email me at at_elmo@yahoo.com

I found ya`ll through a search for MOTORCYCLE WEDDING.

I create custom pens. I have motorcycle pens that are similar to flower pens (which I also do).

Hey, I am the one with the idea of the boustier and the rip off dress. I am having the skirt custom made. I jus bought the top & shorts to match. The skirt is short in the front, and drapes down to the ground in the back. I hope this helps a bit. I is not finished yet, we ahd to move the date up some.

Wow what fab ideas you all have
Well we plan to get married eventualy some time in the near distant future.( I haven`t decided yet, don`t like being mithered)
Love the idea of the aisle of bikers but as we live in the cold UK and the weather being so unpredictable we would have to have our`s in a Marquee at a motorbike rally, the band playing on stage at the front Geoff wants Status Quo tie your mother down or something daft along those lines, whilst im being driven down the aisle.
My dress:- love the idea of a detachable skirt ,how practical.otherwise i havent the foggiest im not the slimmest person in the world.
Not sure about the thigh high boots on me im only 5ft 4ins i would look like Bet Midler gone wrong.
Groom and Best Man:- Leathers of course.
Rings:-Geoff decided rings made to look like chain links, minature size of course.
Bridesmaids:- Not sure bit of a tricky one we have two young daughters and want to keep with the biker theme, but don`t want anything to girly girly, any ideas would be appreciated.
Cake:- we thought of having a bike cake or a helmet cake done in 3 tiers, but would have to be big enough to give to every one.
Favors:- bike helmets with a lottery ticket and chocolate bike lolly or something like that.
Honeymoon:-would be drunk and sleeping in a tent most probably.
How does it sound?

Hi All: I am also having a motorcycle themed wedding. I`ve been engaged since July of `05 and our wedding is Aug. 26, 2006, so I`ve been searching out stuff for a long time! While ours is not outdoors, here is what we plan on doing - I hope this helps:
- Pictures with our bikes and all of our friends bikes
- Ice sculpture of a motorcycle for our reception
- The nicest invitations I`ve seen are by Dawn - internet only
- My favors will be personalized coffee mugs with a package of Harley coffee inside, all wrapped up in a silver organza bag
-Look online for the "Hog Tied" wedding accessorie collection

Good Luck to all you bikers in love!!

I am also having a biker wedding! How nice to find a board where I can get some ideas! We are set to marry on June 30 2005. We set the date just last night, although we`ve been engaged for almost 2 years. I have NO CLUE of where to start, and I`m doing this w/out the help and direction of a mom. (which some people have told me to be thankful for!) ;)

This is what I have so far.....Me: White formal wedding dress, halter top style with layers and layers of tulle for the skirt, white western style boots w/ a flat heel. As for the wedding party (men, women...and Groom) they will be dressed in white shirts, black leather vests, black jeans, black motorcycle boots. The dress I am wearing will be a surprise...I`m telling everyone I`ll be dressed same as the rest of the wedding party. Which for practical reasons I should do...but I can`t help wanting to have that "princess feeling" for one day!
Love, LOVE, love the idea of the shorts w/ knee high boots for the after party. I`m going to help myself to that idea!!
Will ride in w/ my father....and out w/ him, only because he`s on a big dresser, and my future hubby is on a Sporty....NOT condusive to this big fluffy tulle skirt I`m going to have to wrap up for the ride.
Band by the name of Full Throttle is confirmed. Place of ceremony is tenatively confirmed (yikes!) and reception has been discussed with the management, but not confirmed. I want to keep this as simple as possible, as well as friendly on the wallet. We want to have a good time, but I can`t see spending tons of money on things that aren`t necessary.
My biggest question then, is.....What really is necessary, and what isn`t?? I`m clueless about wedding protocol and/or etiquette......any advice is so very much appreciated!

Best of everything,
KB

Hi, I started this motorcycle message board back in 2003 because I couldn`t find any sites about this type of wedding. Here it is 2006 I decided to see if anyone has responded and I was amazed at how many people needed help.
Well, I did have that motorcycle wedding and it was the best thing I ever did. Everyone had a great time and they are still talking about it.
I wore a simple white lace gown with slits up both legs that had a short train attached. I wore short white boots, with white thigh high pantyhose with lace on time. When I jumped on the bike, off came the train, and I hicked my dress up to reveal the white lacy pantyhose. (Looked sexy, but not trashy)
Cake-A cupcake tree with white and black frosting, and I stuck harley emblem pics in them(found online in search I wrote harley davidson cake pics), I put a cake topper that had a motorcycle with the bride and groom standing infront (Coloradocarla.com). She has a lot of this type of theme and she will help you out if you have something in mind.
Favors- I bought orange, black, white bandana`s online cheap and folded them like a fan (girls) and guys I used an elastic to make a circle. Attached some ribbon to them. I also went to the party store and bought plastic pig that wobbled and wrote the date on the base.
Flowergirls-we released butterflys so the girls just wore summer dresses with butterflys on them. Hope this helps if I can help in anyway let me know. Catgx158@comcast.net
